Better than an xmessage choice window

Posted 04-23-2010 at 09:05 PM by William (Dthdealer) (Whaling the FOSS)

Regarding my earlier post about .xinit scripts

This is my current setup, probably a better option. I simply pass options as what I want to execute or just run startx without any options for my normal session including window manager.

Code:
#!/bin/sh

xmodmap "/home/whales/.Xmodmap"
xbattbar -s acpi_xbattbar -t 3 &
~/script/shell/dayfortune &

if [ -z $1 ]

Now the whole point of the Netfilter hook is to customize what the kernel does with the packets received by the system so here is an example hook function. It simply...

Few months back, I posted a blog post concerning Steam and Linux.

Now with the Closed Steam for Mac beta underway, people have noticed that in the same script that launches Steam in OSX has Linux entries.

This implies Valve is porting Steam to Linux.

To make things more interesting, there's references to linux steam client files on steampowered.com
