Apology re: problems leaking out into forums

I've decided that I'm going to either a) take a break from LQ for a while (and I really mean it this time), or b) try to actually contribute more useful content to the forums (I've been spending way too much time in /General lately ).

I figure that if I'm going to be posting anything about religion/faith, existentialism, philosophy, or whatever other topics that I find "sensitive", it'll be either here (in this blog) or just not at all.

how to copy files from one pc to another using putty?

i am using putty in windows which is connected to linux server through one more system.
My PC(putty)-server-Linux server

i want to copy some files from linux server to my system but its copying the files onto the system connecting both, my system and the linux server.
i have used the command
scp -r username@i.p.address:~/full path/ .
while logging into the intermediate system
how can i copy these files to my system?now the files are...

It time again for another release. But before we can I need you to test it in the coming two weeks. Please spare us a few minutes if you care. After testing please reply so we get an idea of how many people tested this release.

Here is a short checklist:
1) Does RKH install correctly?
2) Does 'rkhunter -C' show rkhunter.conf is OK? (Re-run after making changes.)
3) Does '--update' work?
4) Does '--versioncheck' work?
5) Does '--propupd' pick up...

chroot PHP for use with nginx

I never had to deal with chrooted environment before, and there isn't lots of info out there on the net. Best result I've found so far is
Actually, it covers almost entire topic, but I'm going to explain how to bind it with nginx in gentoo linux environment.
Say, you have a site with some app you don't really trust in /app dir. Your own-written site scripts are executed in non-chrooted PHP environment...
