ISCSI no new device in /dev

Posted 09-21-2010 at 12:46 PM by Felicia1326

Well, here it is kiddies, the answer to the no device in /dev. One hasn't been created and presented to the server yet. I know it sounds crazy, but this was my answer and I honestly hope it is yours as well.
If you're using a NetApp device my my my are you in luck. The description that follows will outline setting up iSCSI in RHEL 5.5 and then hooking up with NetApp all the way through to adding the entry to /etc/fstab...yay.
So buckle up and remember, without sunshine, all is?...

Took the machine my brother gave me and let it be my desktop. The old desktop was an old p4 that I bought a limping mb for 2 bucks. Probably back it up and wipe the drive. Maybe turn it into a game machine.

Found the chips I needed to test my robotics stuff. Worked!

Several proof of concept items:

1. Built tele-prompter add-on for my computer for about 10 dollars. Used a bash script to control text flow. Works.

2. Turned an old dell gx1 (p2) ubuntu...

So much for Shotwell: If Ubuntu or Mint distributes the Linux/Wine version of Picasa instead, Linux will become extremely popular.
