openbox and repeating keys

Recently I've been using openbox but it has been driving me crazy! Mainly because when you hold down a key it does not repeat like it does on all other WMs and OSs. After googling around forever I found I can enable my auto repeating keys in ~/.config/openbox/autostart.sh with the following code.
Code:
xset r on
Handy.

Recently (within the past year) I have helped a user with a problem converting hundreds of images into individual PDF files. I was pleasantly surprised to find imagemagick to effortlessly do this.

Command line tool imagemagick does what you need if they're images.
Installation:
Code:
sudo apt-get install imagemagick
Usage: (coverts all images into one pdf)
Code:
convert *.jpg foo.pdf
Usage: (converts each image into an individual pdf)

mplayer vs vlc

Posted 10-10-2010 at 02:52 AM by Web31337 (In The Middle Of Nowhere [edK's blog])
Tags dvd, mplayer, vlc

I've been a VLC media player user for a long time. But some funny thing happened when I upgraded my gentoo and VLC started lagging extremely hard. I tried everything: from downgrading codec libraries to removing ~/.vlc : nothing helped. The problem was when I was trying to watch DVDs and some avi files, it shown "buffering" on every frame, and, of course, I had a hang of few seconds every time. I've decided to try mplayer, as many people told me it's teh best.
So I emerged mplayer...
