hi this is srikanth pilli from india. actually my aim is to implement the TOUCH applications with jamvm-1.5.4 and classpath-0.98 on arm9 cortex processor(ar9) i.e pandaboard. when i am trying to run java application on arm9 TFT pannel (touch screen) , it shows the message like " [dynamic-linking native method:java.lang.VMObject.wait...internel]" and after that the next line it shows "fatal IO error 0(sucess) on xserver:0".
When operating on a local network that largely has Windows machines, resolving local names enables the use of machine names rather than ip addresses. Names can be hardwired into /etc/hosts; alternatively, they can be gathered from the NT domain using winbind:
apt-get install winbind
Then edit /etc/nsswitch.conf, and add 'wins' to the 'hosts' line.
I can't booting ubuntu 11.04 when triple booting, windows 7, opensuse 11.4, and ubuntu 11.04. I have written in ubuntu forum, this forum, and other. But still have not gotten answer or solution yet. I am newbie, new in ubuntu. May be ubuntu for this version still have not support for my computer. May be I can try other popular distro.
