gloves for my feet - part 2

Posted 01-25-2011 at 03:06 PM by Tinkster

The fivefingers are truly amazing. Reached a stage where
I can wear them for extended periods of time on a daily
basis, doing my walks around town and on bush-walks within
the city on a regular basis.

My feet hate being in "normal shoes", even my extra wide
asics feel unpleasantly tight.

I think my posture has improved, and my muscles (calves
and hamstrings) are now coping well w/ the "unusual exercise".

Re-installing...because of a MOUSE problem!

I decided to completely re-install Arch from scratch on my lappy (save for keeping the /home partition of course).

Why? Mouse issues. Specifically, the newest Synaptic touchpad driver that came with the update to Xorg 1.9. I've been having a hell of a time getting the sensitivity correct (first it was too slow, then too fast), and the pointer would also stutter on occasion (I even posted in the Linux - Desktop forum about this little issue; still hasn't received any replies)....

Future Plans...maybe?

Posted 01-24-2011 at 05:10 AM by brianL

Two awesome, momentous, earth-shattering events are imminent. OK, that's a bit of an exaggeration. The release of Slackware 13.2 (or will it be 14.0?), and Debian "squeeze" becoming stable. This will mean major reorganisation here, on my computers. These are possible options. Out will go XP Pro from my laptop, replaced with "squeeze", giving a dual-boot Slack + Debian. On my desktop, Slackware and Arch. I've recently tried Arch in VirtualBox, and liked it. And I might keep Ubuntu...

Chromium Settings Window replaced with settings page

Posted 01-23-2011 at 10:00 AM by Kenny_Strawn (Kenny the one-teen comittee to stamp out Proprietary $uckware)

For those of you who have the Chromium Daily PPA, what was the Properties window has moved here.

Apparently, Chromium is becoming more and more like Chrome OS every day

What is your opinion?

Please tell me I'm not weird...

Posted 01-22-2011 at 06:02 AM by MrCode

I don't know why I'm posting this...

I seriously feel like a creep. No, really.

Go ahead, laugh. ...or do whatever it is you do when you see someone post something so amazingly immature (e.g. eyebrow raise, head shake, sigh, any combination of the three, etc.).

I'm @#$%ing 19 years old and still have a soft spot for cartoons, particularly anthropomorphized animals...tell me that...
