Linux Family

Posted 09-08-2011 at 12:11 PM by blogfan247

I like linux and applaude all that contribute to the "linux cause" meaning any progression toward linux success!!!
I may be a newbie but, that really matters less now than it did before I learned more about the opensource;free software foundation;windows 7 sins and the many strides programmers in conferences have educated/shared the knowledge with more fans of this movement. Share your thoughts with me if you would those love linux. I can't wait for the bright future that awaits

Honestly as a Slackware user I'm very well skilled in this trait and can easily manage my own system, but what about automated package management distributions? Sure you can have a system hold your hand and walk you through in baby steps, but what about that rare case when a dependency is not resolved by the package management system because the package is obscure enough not to have a mainstream dependency file? Posted 09-07-2011 at 01:07 PM by ButterflyMelissa

The plan is to set everything up and master whatever result is there to a CD. In the same run, I could set up the /etc/resolv.conf TTYLinux does not have. And append to the rc.conf to get networking set up in one clean swoop...

But, as this could take a while, I decided...
