Skype problem

Posted 04-20-2011 at 03:07 PM by myklmar (Linux Gimux)

It happened again!
Updated Skype, video wouldn't work and it made my voice sound like donald duck!

Have discovered that with some installations Skype video won't work.
So....Try adding this as the properties of a shortcut:

(System >Preferences >Keyboard Shortcuts)

env LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib32/libv4l/ skype

I've saved mine as Ctrl + Alt + S

No more problems..

The economy has been screwy for some time now, and even at work we're starting to see the effects of economic downturn. Granted, I'm not trying to purchase a $42,000 server with my *own* finances, but even so I've felt the effects of the struggle both at home and work. So my wife and I discussed some ways to save money, and we realized that our entertainment budget had quite a bit of fat.

Time for an entertainment budget diet.

It's been a while since I've done any serious programming (if little demo/learning programs can be considered serious ), but I finally got around to doing some little SDL apps.

The code here is basically for learning purposes; it's not like I'm keeping hold of it with an iron grip…IOW, go ahead and use parts of it (or the whole of it) to learn from/use in your own programs/whatever. It's not like there's much here anyway.

The one whose source I'll...
