duckduckgo - search engine without tracking and search bubble

When I had a first look on it, I didn't like it. Now, one year later, I checked again - and now I really do:

http://duckduckgo.com is a really privacy oriented search engine. But under its very clear surface it also has other features:
  • unbiased search results, NOT depending on any profile that you got. See http://dontbubble.us/
  • privacy, duckduckgo.com doesn't save your data, nor does it turn it to the found website. See http://donttrack.us/
  • instant answers (like "define:TERM"

Transfer files from Ubuntu 8.04 to 10.04 on new machine

Old machine: Self built hardware (2007) from Microcenter and Tigerdirect, Ubuntu 8.04, dual boot Windows XP, two PATA drives, 32 bit.

New machine: Dell 560 off lease from Microcenter, Ubuntu 10.04.3 dual boot Windows7 Professional(preinstalled), added a drive, two SATA drives, 64 bit.

After reading 20 or so articles I decided to use the following method to transfer files for three users to a new machine.

Windows migration tool over the local home network...

funambol: Sync contacts and calendar

  1. Download funambol server package bundle (including java, webserver tomcat and database Hypersonic):
    32 bit: https://www.forge.funambol.org/servl...=FUNBUNDLE-LIN
    64 bit: https://www.forge.funambol.org/servl...UNBUNDLE-LIN64
  2. Install funambol:
    Code:
    chmod +x funambol-10.0.3-x64.bin
    sudo ./funambol-10.0.3-x64.bin
    • "yes" - accept license
    • "RETURN" - accept to install to /opt
    • "no" - Don't start the server yet
...

Half-way there

I dont know what I did, but I think I'm half way there. Okay, half is not all the way, but it's a start.

But...as pointed out, it's a workload, a big one. Now, just now, I turned the PC in question off, had been lit since friday morning (had a day of...) and now, I've got...barely a command prompt.

The trick is not to lose track of the dependencies. After all, since a configure/make/make install is possible, quite a few requirements are met ... by the host system. Trick...

kernel panic

hi guys
iam beginner to redhat
i had a booting probelm
"kernel panic running out of memory"
if i restart 4 or 5 times system will boot into redhat
i done linux rescue by miunting in chroot /mnt/sysimage
fsck.ext3 /dev/sda1 to fsck.ext3 /dev/sda9
i cannot run this command for"sda1" -Error occurs sda1 is mounted

how to solve the booting probelm "kernel panic"
