Finally made phppgadmin work with the help of LQ and a lot of other sites. Wanted to use phpmyadmin for remote management of psql databases. What a challenge. I think I changed every spec in as many files. Went through every log known to man (or at least most admins). had to make the port specs agree. Made sure the port was open with nmap. The real kicker was I had to go into a couple of php files and update the code because some of the code was deprecated. I made sure and use pdfit (a firefox plug...

More fun around MIPS

Posted 01-29-2011 at 09:54 AM by Web31337 (In The Middle Of Nowhere [edK's blog])

I thought I finally have to try this myself at last, so I logged in to my Netgear router and started experiments around MIPS assembly.

It isn't much, though, I think I love this architecture It's really easy comparing to x86.

I guess I started at the wrong place. My first step was googling for "MIPS linux syscall", I was trying to find some easy sample code in order to understand how it works and create "hello world" myself. But MIPS is so easy,...

Quick-and-dirty symmetric encryption

Posted 01-27-2011 at 10:53 PM by anomie

Nothing earth shattering here. Just a quick automation utility I put together using the venerable openssl.

Code:
#!/bin/sh

# $Id: encrypt,v 1.3 2011/01/28 04:38:22 anomie $

# NOTE -
# Save this script in your users' PATH as
#       "encrypt"
