exGENT (Gentoo) NEWS 141205
I’ve made yet a new version (20141205) of exGENT. This time for the 32 bit architecture. I call it exGENT 2015 LXDE Live DVD. The new version (141205 of 1170 MB) uses LXDE as Desktop environment. All installed packages in exGENT 32 bit have been updated to the latest available version by 141205. I have included Porthole Package Manager also in this version of exGENT. Used kernel: 3.16.5-gentoo-exton.

Bash scrippet to extract all eth* addresses from /etc/network/interfaces

Posted 12-02-2014 at 08:03 AM by catkin

I looked for such a script on the 'net and did not find so here's a solution, tessted with the edge case of an address line at the end of the file:
Code:
#!/bin/bash

eth_regex=^eth

true=true
false=

address=
have_iface_flag=$false
while read -r word1 word2 word3 word4 _
do
    case $word1 in
         iface )
             [[ $word2 =~ $eth_regex && $word4 != dhcp ]] \

Adding [code][/code] tags to your posts

Posted 12-02-2014 at 06:23 AM by rtmistler
Updated 01-07-2015 at 06:49 AM by rtmistler

In LQ it is beneficial to use [code][/code] tags around your code.

All you need to do is to border your code with the [code][/code] tags and the result will appear as following:
Code:
#include <stdio.h>

int main()
{
 ...
}
Do I have to type the tags in, or are there widgets to help me with this?
In Advanced edit mode the # (number sign) icon will assist you with this, it will add tags around selected text, or add tags where you can then type...
