Exton|OS 64 bit Live DVD - build 140312

A new and much better version of Exton|OS is ready. I have replaced kernel 3.13.0-9-exton with kernel 3.13.0-17-exton. (Kernel.org‘s latest stable kernel 3.13.6, released 140307). I have also replaced Ubuntu’s installation program Ubiquity with Exton|OS Installer, which is a clone of Debian Live Installer. The installation to hard drive is now so simple that a 10 year old child can do it. Watch a SLIDESHOW of the hard drive installation process.

Build 140308 of ExTiX 14

I have released a new version of ExTiX 14 today (140308). Corrected minor errors and come to grips with a problem with Apt. ExTiX is now (hopefully) totally error-free. I have also upgraded all packages to the latest version as of 140308.

The time has come for me to bid farewell to San Antonio. I accepted a position at Amazon's Seattle office so I could get my wife closer to her aging Dad (who we haven't seen since our wedding over a decade ago).

MeX Linux is based on Linux Mint. (I.e. Linux Mint 16 - codenamed "Petra", released 20131130 and on Ubuntu 13.10 - codenamed "Saucy Salamander", released 20131017).
