Setting up Ganglia on three small clusters

I've been studying clusters using Banana Pi boards, and I've got as far as developing a cluster of MySQL servers, a cluster using GlusterFS and a web server cluster.

At the moment the server cluster is operating on its own. Each node contains a copy of the Pyplate CMS with its own instance of an SQLite database. The next step is it to make all three clusters work together. I've updated Pyplate so that I can use MySQL instead of SQLite, and I've imported a Pyplate database into...

A new (perfect) 3.17.0 kernel for Puppy Linux

I don't know how useful this info is for the average Puppy Linux user is, but today I have compiled a new perfect (as I think) 3.17.0 kernel for my PuppEX installed (not "frugal") system. I call it 3.17.0-puppex.

The kernel can be used in all newer 32 bit Puppy Linux "fully" installed systems. I.e. not "frugal" systems.

There had been so much going on at the PCLOS forums. I sort of enjoyed the drama. I need politeness like you find at Mepis. Those folks are really nice, but Debian based OSes don't do well for me sometimes.

So, I tried Mageia and I have been really happy with it. A few things have broken from time to time but nothing serious. The last update of Firefox changed my icons and I'm not sure how to get it back like it was but it is close to the point that I can live with it. But FF...
