What more with .Xdefaults

Posted 01-04-2012 at 05:50 PM by TeddyB34R

Well, using X11 i know you can optimize the color of the background, foreground, color of the cursor, pointer color, using your .Xdefualts

Is there anything else anybody is changing in their terminal that would be cool and useful?
For example, how do you change your font type?

Posted 01-04-2012 at 12:33 AM by sudhagud

These BASH script set have been written with the purpose of making the administration of VSFTPD virtual users easy, like creation, deletion, update. The scripts assume that pam_userdb is being used for Authentication along with local shell users.

Linux System Auditing

Posted 01-04-2012 at 12:20 AM by sudhagud

Basic Linux system auditing is a bit tricky and data collected and information of that is out of place and readability is not that good. Recently this lead me to put together a Open Source code project and develop simple BASH scripts that do the job nicely.
The code and tar ball can be downloaded from both google code or from source forge website's and the project website has links to documentation, help, installation and code.

Well I just set ventrilo up on my internal dev server. Just trying it out because I've heard other people talk about it and thought I would integrate it better with my system. I'm running Fedora 14 on my server but all of these scripts should work on Fedora 12/14 and RedHat EL 5/6. Untested on the new Fedora 16. Here's the service script.
Code:
#!/bin/bash
#Created by Sam Gleske
#For RHEL and Fedora-like operating systems

# chkconfig: - 0 0
