I originally answered the question as the OP asked. This Q/A is getting a lot of attention, so I should also offer the non-magic way to do this. I'm going to expand upon guneysus's answer to fix the nasty sed and include Tobias Kienzler's suggestion.

Makepkg makepkg.conf Optimizations

Here are my /etc/makepkg.conf Optimizations

Makepkg.conf is used whenever you build a package from the Aur or any other source. (makepkg -si)

1) Set -march and -mtune to native to optimize packages to your CPU architecture.
Do not fiddle with this if you are building packages for someone else who has different CPU

Code:
CFLAGS="-march=native -mtune=native -O2 -pipe -fstack-protector-strong --param=ssp-buffer-size=4"
CXXFLAGS="-march=native

RaspArch Build 160312 :: Run Arch Linux on your Raspberry Pi 3 or Pi 2

This version (160312) is my third build of RaspArch. The first version is from 150414. The second is from 151107. This version (160312) is especially made for the new Raspberry Pi 3. Version 160312 of RaspArch can of course also run on the “old” Raspberry Pi 2. RaspArch is a “remaster” of Arch Linux ARM. The original compressed system is of 231 MB. After I have added the LXDE Desktop environment, Firefox and Gimp the system increased to 558 MB. RaspArch is a “ready-to-go” ARM...
