Simulator for network based mobility

Posted 03-29-2014 at 01:25 AM by Riaz Khan

Hello all,
I just want to know which simulator i should go with for simulating network based mobility. I installed OPNET 14.5 modeler and when i tried to run an example, it gave me an error " mspdb100.dll is missing". I have started working on Sensor node's mobility. Now i am at initial stage, so please suggest me the best simulator for network based mobility problems and also the OS platform for the same. Thank you, i will wait for your immediate response.

Requires gs, imagemagick, jpegoptim, cpulimit, and "coolloop" (or maybe not).

Has no options or anything.

You run it like: appropriate-filename portable-document-file-to-convert.pdf

The result will be:

appropriate-filename-001.jpg, appropriate-filename-002.jpg and so on.

So you don't add numbers or extension on the first parameter ($1). I guess it may not deal well with spaces...

Ugly script to sleep "accordingly" to CPU temperature, on loops

Posted 03-28-2014 at 09:40 PM by the dsc (linux-related notes)

Sometimes you have a script or one-liner loop thing that may put quite a heavy load on the CPU, that can be at least bothersome due to the noise of the fan, or somewhat worrisome if the temperature approaches or goes beyond what the processor specifications recommend, and yet the system doesn't do anything by itself to avoid it.

One could simply add some arbitrary, constant sleep time within the loop, but that will likely make the whole thing slower than it needs to be. If within...

SlackEX 14.1 :: build 140326

Posted 03-26-2014 at 03:35 PM by exton (Exton's Blog)
Updated 03-27-2014 at 03:15 AM by exton

New features in version 140326 of SlackEX
SlackEX build 140326 comes as a ZIP-file for direct installation to an USB stick. I have replaced kernel 3.12.6-x86_64-exton with kernel 3.13.7-x86_64-exton with support for “everything”. All packages are upgraded to the latest version by now (140326). Study the full package LIST.

Install SlackEX to hard drive
Use this INSTRUCTION . You can (if you want) use Grub2 (new GRUB) as boot loader. (Slackware original still uses LILO)....
