Got my mouse scroll wheel working. Just uncomment the following line in /etc/X11/xorg.conf:
Code:
Option: "Protocol" "Auto"
As for the network card, it's still coming up dead on some bootups, but I discovered that it probably is a firmware issue. In my BIOS POST logs, there are regular occurrences of an NIC Failure. Will have to hunt around for firmware. It was suggested to me that power management might have something to do with it, but I didn't notice any...

Not Changes Again?!?!

Posted 04-04-2009 at 04:50 AM by brianL

Yes, Debian's back on my laptop. But "lenny" this time. I've decided to have two contrasting stable distros: Slack 12.2 and "lenny", and I've got room for two more, which will be more cutting-edge, unstable, "Oh ****, what's happened now!?", types. I was thinking of, maybe, Arch and Fedora? Not sure yet.

Very strange

Posted 04-02-2009 at 04:00 PM by uinseann

I have just been trying my Geniatech dvb usb stick with "me-tv". The picture is very jerky, annoyingly jerky. Strange thing though; If I record a few minutes, just to test it, the playback is smooth, but the brightness is up.

kaffeine works perfect?
