Kubuntu and sudo ???

Well I'm really starting to get pissed off with kubuntu and it's use of sudo to run/administrate things.

It would appear that the only way round this issue, is to modify the sudoers file so that only root can do stuff with sudo - which defeats the object of making it work like that i.e. if I still have to use sudo to run/administrate the system, but I've set the sudo to only be used by root, then what the bloody point of having sudo installed other than it's what "they"...

Fedora Core Installation Hangs with Nvdia Geforce Fx 5200 Graphics Card

My specs are following:
A 845GL chipset based board with onboard graphics and 4x ultra AGP slot
Nvidia GeForce FX 5200 graphics card
2.4 Ghz Intel P4 presscott processor
768MB RAM
40GB HDD, 1 CDRW and 1 DVD-Rom Drive
Onboard Sound
Onboard Sis 100/10 fast Ethernet controller
17 inch CRT Monitor
20GB for windows Xp and 20GB for Linux

I have previously installed FC3,4 and 5 with the onboard Graphics and it worked like a dream....

Ethernet not working on slack 10.2 on laptop presario 2500

Slackware 10.2 installed on laptop HP presario 2500. commands lsdev and lsmod show no ethernet card. pppoe-connect, pppoe-start reporting no eth0. Ethernet card is not listed in the hardware list(it works fine with win xp). Inbuilt modem 3 also not working for internet thru the serialport. Please help. Thank you.

RHEL3 boots in Single user mode but not in GUI or Multiuser mode.

I have RHEL 3 insltalled on DL380 server,
roght now it can only boot in single user mode, when i start normally, it stops on login prompt, i give username and password, it them stops responding... 3-4-5 hours.
when it was okay, it did not stoped on text mode, directly going to GUI. now its not.
what to do???
