Day 5 - Working closely with MySql (playing with databases)

OK, MySql is installed, we did that in passing as we installed our webserver and php.
It was a total breeze, but if you've forgotten how we did that, go there.

What we need now is to:
1) Setup mysql to be connected to by a specific remote machine
2) Create a test user
3) Create a test database
4) Connect to it remotely through SSH
5) Connect to it programatically with a language (i'll use c# and php too maybe)

Day 4.7 How to use github.com with NetBeans 7.0

Prerequisits:
a. Install git on your computer (I did this with git bash on windows)
b. Install NetBeans
c. Setup a free account at github.com
d. Install a plugin called git in NetBeans
Hint:
Tools -> Plugins -> Available Updates (TAB) -> git (checkbox) -> Install (button)

I. To import a new project into NetBeans from git hub, perform the following.

1) In git bash, move to your NetBeansProjects folder...

Day 4.5 Working with git to colaberate on source code

In the first part of this tutorial, all we really did was install git, and setup an account at github where we made a public repository and pushed an empty readme file to it.
In this second part, we're going to create another repository, and this time, we'll push a snazzy mono application to it.

To set this tutorial up, I will be doing the first set of instructions with my linux machine, and I will do the second section with my windows machine.

Well... now that we're coding and compiling on this thing, we'd better come up with some way of tracking the history and progress of our source code.
I mean... one false line of code and we might destroy our entire application, and we don't even know how to make backup copies. Hmmm... what to do... I know!

=Running C# code on debian linux

Well, since I've got over two thousand C# applications coded on my windows PC, let's see about putting them to use on my debian system.
Thanks to a project named mono, this is easy!

We may as well see a glimps of mono on a windows PC. This can be done by 'C:/'

Download mono so you can compile .cs for the mono/.NET runtime:
