Not even linux can create symlinks on FAT32

If you've only briefly dealt with NTFS on linux, you might have noticed that it's possible to create symlinks there, not like the fake "shortcuts", but actual symlinks, that linux read as such.

That may lead the naive mind to think that symlinks are a linux/OS-side feature, and that therefore linux could create symlinks on FAT32. But that's going to be proven wrong on the first attempt.

You can, however, have symlinks on non-FAT partitions pointing to a FAT...

When you copy and paste these code into your /etc/issue with your vi or vim, you might need to replace ^[ with Control+V then Control+[ in input mode.

1. ExLight is now based on Ubuntu 14.10 Utopic Unicorn 64 bit, released October 23, 2014).
2. I have upgraded the Desktop environment Enlightenment (Beauty at your fingertips) to version 0.19. Installed from source.
3. I have replaced kernel 3.16.0-5-exton with kernel 3.16.0-21-exton.
4. New software content: AbiWord, Nautilus, SpaceFM, Firefox, Gimp and GParted. Also all necessary additions in order to install programs from source. Study...
