Cooking Robot?

Posted 11-04-2010 at 08:06 PM by peonuser

My cousin asked me if I could build a cooking robot. I passed on that idea. But after looking at sous vide it had me thinking about interfacing different tools such as a digital thermometer to the joystick analog port. With a slow cooker, digital thermometer, and a computer, I might be able to make a sous vide machine that is programmable for next to nothing.

Cleaning up the man cave.

Anxious..

Can not wait to get some l293d chips on Friday. Do some serious robot building this weekend.

Listened to the "Cooking for Geeks" Author on Tllts. Talked about pretty much the same as the cnet interview.

Usually cook up a feast at Thanksgiving. Probably pass on it and just have something simple if not go out to eat.

The Rangers lost and the Colts were stomping the Texans. Decided to go back to slinging some code. Little bash, a little that.

I like "Pro Bash Programming" by Chris Johnson.

Looked at an F5 from Sams book I bought for a few bucks.

Tomorrow, plan to learn a bit more cgi and perl.

You never stop learning. Something I wished I realised many decades ago.

At first I was not a fan of the "pads/touch tablets" then I started to think about it and using a web server I came up with lots of ideas.

I am retired, but I am so close to getting a touchpad and starting a business doing turnkey projects. I see all kinds of things you can use it for. i.e. kitchen computer for getting recipes.,we have a web page for doing measurement conversions and a web based recipe data base. Garage computers for access diy project instructables and...
