Bucket of worms

Posted 05-02-2010 at 09:08 PM by Mr-Bisquit

Michael, one of my brothers, is a few years younger than me and this concerns him when he was five.
Being extremely industrious for his age, Mike saw an opportunity in making money but didn't know how to go about doing it.
" Dig up some worms, " the old man told him, "and sell them for money,"
Michael took hold of this idea and decided to fill a five gallon bucket with worms and dirt. Taking his wares, he lugged it from house to house with no sales whatsoever. After a few hours, he came home in a bad mood.
"What's wrong, Michael?" it was the old man talking.
'I didn't sell any worms, " Mike replied.

About that time, the old man decided to call his friend Charles.
"Hey, Charles."
"Yeah?"
"Michael dug up some worms and tried to sell them. he hasn't made any money. Do you think you could call back and buy some from him?"
"Sure thing."
A few minutes later, the phone rings.
" Michael."
"Yeah?"
"Get the phone. I think it's for you."
Michael answers the phone.
"Hello?"
"Is this Michael?"
"Yes?"
"This is Charles."
"Hey."
" I heard you got some worms for sale."
About this time, Michael's eyes lit up.
"How much do you want for them?"
"Five hundred dollars."

This was followed by laughter and Michael made a few dollars that day.
