No, I don't miss you!

I wondered if I would be falling back to Windows and MS Apps anytime soon? So far I haven't felt homesick for a single moment, since I switched. I guess that counts for something on the Linux side.
I read about compatibility problems that gamers experience when running Linux. I am not a gamer so I can't comment on those subjects. My kids like gaming way more than I do, hence my wife plays more games than I do, be it limited to Solitaire and Sudoko. I haven't heard any complaints yet from my kids or my wife about their games (online flash stuff) being slow or buggy, so I guess I am fine for now!
I am slowly making progress, getting more control over Ubuntu and its command line. It feels wonderful to steer a ship so powerful and so fast. I am experimenting freely - be it guided by Ian Shields tutorials, and by articles I read on the net. I am loving the options for each command and I can hear my PC sigh every time I call the man or info pages. Never did that while running Windows.
I also started simultaneously learning C++ next to C, combined with MySql. I even installed MySql Server on a VirtualBox and made my first testing environment. I feel productive in general. My goal is to program Linux Apps, and cross platform applications focussing on nTier Architecture with Database integration. Aiming high! Eventually I hope one day to contibute to any Linux Distro - that would be my ultimate!
I gave testing other distro's in a VirtualBox a rest, unless someone can recommend me a "must have tried" distro, next to Ubuntu and besides Slackware, Fedora, Debian and SuSe? As I mentioned before - I am very pleased with Linux and I can't wait to become more knowledgeable.
Windows I don't miss you - at ALL!
