Me n Linux

My first Linux came on 21 1.2 meg floppies.
Of course it was command line only and I liked it but only as an interesting OS.
At the time I was running IBM PC dos and OS2 2.0 .
My computer was a 286 16 mhz with 2.4 megs ram.
I added a co-processor and was quite happy with it but I was doing some circuit board designing so I had to remove the Linux and put dos and OS2 back.
My next Linux was redHat 4.
I installed it into my 486dx20 with 8 megs ram and a 10 gig hard drive.
I was not able to make it dial to the isp and get on the internet with it.
I gave up on that and went to OS2 Warp 4.
Next a friend sent me a copy of Caldera 2.1 .
This was much better and I got onto the internet on dial up so I stayed with this till the next versions of Calder came out.
I stayed with Caldera till they got stupid with trying to sue everybody.
My same friend sent me a copy of Slackware 2.
It was great.
I am still running Slackware now 12.2 and it is still the best.
I have changed computers as i went along and am running several Linux versions and I try many out.
I have partitioned one of the 2 320 gig sata drives and have 8 40 gig partitions on the first drive.
I use the second drive as a place to save stuff like the back up info for the Linux s that I have installed.
I am using GRUB as my boot loader for these OS s.
