How to Change the UUID on a VDI File


Instructions

Open a command prompt window by clicking “Start,” typing “Command Prompt” into the search box and pressing “Enter.”

Type the following command and press “Enter” to change to the VirtualBox directory. Replace the default directory with the location of your VirtualBox directory if you installed Virtualbox to a custom location.
Cd C:\Program Files\Oracle\Virtualbox
o 3
Type the following command, replacing the path with the location of your VDI file, and press “Enter:"
VBoxManage internalcommands sethduuid "C:\Users\Name\VirtualBox VMs\Example\Example.vdi"
