Virtual machines

Posted 12-23-2008 at 03:17 PM by jozik

Well, that was easy: installed Virtualbox (using synaptic) and made a couple of virtual machines: Debian and WindowsXP. It's really simple, just don't forget to make a virtual disk and to mount de CD/DVD-drive or ISO-image with the installation disk(-image). Funny thing is that I get the impression that the virtual machines are faster then the 'normal' ones, at least in powering up. I'm curious to hear if you have the same impression.
I'll use the virtual Debian machine for my LPI training, probably a virual Fedora machine will be installed as well, because for LPI it's handy to experiment with both deb, rpm, Gnome and KDE machines
