Code:
[INSTALL, DEPENDENCIES] bridge-utils
[INSTALL, DEPENDENCIES] libaio1
[INSTALL, DEPENDENCIES] libvde0
[INSTALL, DEPENDENCIES] libvdeplug2
[INSTALL] qemu-kvm
[INSTALL] vde2

[INSTALL, DEPENDENCIES] etherboot-qemu
[INSTALL, DEPENDENCIES] openbios-ppc
[INSTALL, DEPENDENCIES] openbios-sparc
[INSTALL, DEPENDENCIES] openhackware
[INSTALL, DEPENDENCIES] qemu-keymaps
[INSTALL, DEPENDENCIES] qemu-system
[INSTALL, DEPENDENCIES] qemu-user
[INSTALL, DEPENDENCIES] qemu-utils
[INSTALL, DEPENDENCIES] seabios
[INSTALL, DEPENDENCIES] vgabios
[INSTALL] qemu
[INSTALL] qemu-user-static
/usr/share/doc/qemu-kvm/README.Debian.gz: check if cpu has virtualization extensions:
Code:
egrep '^flags.*(vmx|svm)' /proc/cpuinfo
--> The Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T5550 does NOT support it.

NOTE: Next time either buy new AMD processor or check http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...icroprocessors

BIOS has to support virtualization, too.

New cool things to come for Debian Wheezy:
  • linux containers for enhanced chroots

For old hardware like mine:
  • xen

Or:
  • virtualbox
