Secure Path load balance on Solaris

Posted 12-01-2006 at 01:57 PM by gparker

Last I heard (about 2 years ago), load balance wasn't supported on Solaris. Looks like it is now in 3.0D. Actually, I went through the release notes for B,C,D and I never saw it mentioned as new feature. Chris said he remembers seeing it in a doc somewhere.

perp:/root# spmgr display | more
Server: doterp04 Report Created: Fri, Dec 01 10:56:36 2006
Command: spmgr display
= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =
Storage: 5000-1FE1-5000-DC40
Load Balance: On Auto-restore: Off Balance Policy: Least I/O
Path Verify: On Verify Interval: 30
HBAs: qla2300-0 qla2300-1
Controller: P5849D19IO605J, Operational
P5849D19IO60CY, Operational
Devices: c2t0d0 c2t0d1 c2t0d2 c2t0d3 c2t0d4 c2t0d5 c2t0d6

I just want to get an output where load balance is on and where load balance is off:
