Posted 12-28-2005 at 06:51 AM by divukman

Happy holidays to all.

I've recently switched to xfce (still having trouble with kde) and started using aterm.
After playing around for some time, I came up with this, try it, it doesen't look too bad :)

Code:
aterm -tr -trsb -sh 87 -font -misc-fixed-medium-r-normal--18-120-100-100-c-90-iso8859-1 -fg yellow -vb

switch to new hard drive

Posted 12-14-2005 at 07:33 PM by divukman

Aloha,

Let's say you have a new hard drive and want to transfer all files from your
old one, including your fancy linux system. No problem, no problem at all,
but there's nothing I can do about it ? ahha :) not quite...

I'll write a bit more thorough tutorial, but here are just basic steps for
now.

1. Plug the drive :) who would have guessed, if it's ata then take the
jumper off and put the jumper on the old drive to slave,...

Well now

Posted 12-12-2005 at 05:35 PM by divukman

Aloha to all !!! :)

I've just decided to keep a small Linux blog.

Mainly I'll try to cover some topics that I've had trouble with and hopefully sometime, somewhere, someone will find these entries useful. :)

Of course, I will do my best to keep things "In medias res" (into the midst of things) because I found that sometimes you need something asap and don't have time to read tons of manuals.

Well people, that's it for now....
