hey everyone i updated my school computer to 11.04 for fun and it loads up just fine i can log in and do work, but I have lost my tool bars, it gives me an error with docky needing compositing and the busy symbol never goes away. instead of have a regular cursor I have a busy symbol all the time, it has been like this now for 2 days.

ok so now i have a new problem, i logged in to the machine in question and ran the update manager, and it said it needed a partial upgrade as the other one didn't take originally. So I did this no problem however now when i try logging in with my correct password it goes to a black screen as if it were loading and then goes right back to the login screen even when i tried the recovery console or other boot options.Posted 12-09-2010 at 03:47 PM by Steveo2685
