Getting Fedora to play mp3's in XMMS

When I starting using Linux I was confused by the fact that I could not play sounds in the mp3 format. I could play Wavs and Ogg Vorbis Files but not mp3. I found the answer to this question in a Book about Fedora Core 2. Red Hat and Fedora do not support the mp3 format because of patent issues. But there is a Simple way to add mp3 support back to one of the best multimedia players there is, XMMS. Simply download the RPM from this website http://www.gurulabs.com/goodies/downloads.php, and install the RPM.
A better solution however in the long run is to convert all your mp3 files to Ogg Vorbis, since Ogg files don't have patent issues. :)
