siduction tips for beginners!

From its outward appearance, siduction may appear to be just another Debian-based Linux distribution, but don't let that fool you. Here be dragons!

I have put together a few short, but essential, tips for newcomers wishing to install and use siduction which is a full rolling Linux release based on Debian Unstable (sid).

Tip #1:
As an absolute minimum, it is essential to read the siduction Quick Start Guide before even thinking about proceeding further.

Dual-boot Windows & Linux?

Before attempting to dual-boot Linux on an existing Windows computer it is essential to backup all personal data to an external drive.

There are two main reasons why people may wish to dual-boot Windows and Linux:

1.) They are familiar with Windows and are perhaps interested in replacing it with Linux. They may be reluctant to ditch Windows completely, in case they do not get along with Linux 100% and so decide to keep a foot in both camps....
