An Introduction

I see that LinuxQuestions.org has a blog feature. This might be a good place to chronicle the stuff I learn about Linux.

As a Windows user since 1990, I've gotten lazy. I used to be a Command Line junkie, and resisted Windows 95 as long as humanly possible. Unfortunately, it evetually got to the point where I needed to use Windows just so I could exchange files with other people. I made the switch, and gradually Windows reeled me in with its pretty colors and shiny lights.

I've been working as an IT technician since 1999. For the most part, I've been involved in the hardware/network end of things, but I've switched positions recently, and now am a full-time Systems Administrator for a bunch of Windows, Solaris, and Unix/Linux machines.

I've gotten to be a fairly solid novice at Linux over time, but now I need to buckle down and learn the ropes. This looks like a good place to do it.
