Posted 04-12-2009 at 09:14 AM by jaymarting (The messy world of technology)

Well after deciding to go for the certification, I had to decide how to go about it. I considered the local...

Last month I wrote about the crossroads I was at in my career. Well, I decided it was time to take some action. Since I’m new to certifications, I talked to some friends in the field and did some looking around online, and decided to pick up PMP video training from PrepLogic.com (here: http://www.preplogic.com/products/vi...s.aspx?eid=391). I love it. I bought the PMP practice exam from PrepLogic, too but I’ve really just started looking at that.

Posted 07-31-2009 at 11:38 AM by pereb

Look out, Google; MicroHoo is coming to get you. Wednesday, the deal between Microsoft and Yahoo (“MicroHoo”) was finally signed, after months of speculation and discussion. It was time to topple the giant.

Google is the undisputed heavyweight of search engines; it holds 65% of the search market in the U.S.,...

Posted 09-16-2009 at 02:44 PM by CiscoJim
Updated 09-16-2009 at 02:47 PM by CiscoJim

I'm going to share the experiences I've with Preplogic while preparing for my CCNP exams. I've had my CCNA for nearly 6 years now. This time around instead of just re-certifying I'm looking to take a step up. My job actually gives me an automatic raise if I obtain my CCNP so it just makes sense for me to do so.

While searching for training I asked some co-workers and the overwhelming majority stated that Preplogic offers the only high quality training product that won't cost...

Google docs, love them or only kinda like them

Posted 09-25-2009 at 05:59 AM by jaymarting (The messy world of technology)

I remember the days when free online email was a novelty. The storage space was small and the features even smaller. But the I discovered that the benefits of gettin my email on any computer outweighted the costs of fewer features. And remember these were the days when Eudora ruled the consumer desktop email market.

But soon the features caught up and now in the last 5 years not only can I get my email on any computer or laptop out there I can also get it on my iPhone or blackberry....
