QT giac (qtgiac) and new lib lq/mc2 v. 3.03

Updated 08-06-2014 at 10:06 AM by rainbowsally

[If you have had trouble compiling qtgiac, this might help.]

http://rainbowsally.org/rainbowsally...giac-rs.tar.gz (about 2 megs)

This qtgiac build currently works with the following version of libLQ/mc2 (and also with later builds of the mc2 v. 2x). If you need this to work for sure AND you want to mess with the makefiles, get this version of the libLQ/mc2 as well to make the job a little easier.

Posted 05-31-2012 at 10:38 PM by rainbowsally

Enter your password SUCKER!

;-)

Features:
  • Installer uninstaller in a simple clickable (or at least it should be clickable) script. (You can try setting the file associations these to run scripts with kde-open, xdg-open, gnome-open, ... or try the shell-exec app at this blog.)
  • Fun. But is it practical? Maybe, and maybe not. It depends on if you already knew how risky handing control of parts of your system to strangers can be.

Question: Who are they protecting...

CHANGELOG: 6/1/2001
Corrected argv[<value>] in error msg at line 102 of file: src/qt4-info.cpp.

[If you work with qt4, this is well worth the exercise. You might be surprised at how much we do with so little code. -rs]

Care for a bit of Ye Olde Computer Mad Science? This one is kind of fun.

Todays Features:
  • Look up all QT4 classes and list properties or meta object method calls.

[This is part of the QT Interactive project, because...

Posted 05-28-2012 at 12:50 AM by rainbowsally

Today's Features:
  • Center a non-dialog window in qt4.

If you have mc2, 'mc2 -fetch qt4' for the Makefile, otherwise, do whatever you do to get this rolling.

Here are the files for this demo/test.

file: src/main.cpp
Code:
// generic C++ source template created by new.main

#include <stdio.h>  // printf(), FILE*, etc.
#include <malloc.h> // malloc(), free()
#include <string.h> // strcpy(), memcpy(), etc.

qt type id test/demo

Posted 05-27-2012 at 09:38 PM by rainbowsally
Updated 05-27-2012 at 09:40 PM by rainbowsally

Today's features:
  • Use C++ typeid's to compare or check types.
  • Share base64 encoded compressed file/dir data in message forums (example).

The typeid(obj) doesn't require QT, but it also works with it. Here's a simple makefile and a widget to show some type ids and how to compare
them.

After running this you should have a folder named typeid-test. Type 'make' inside that folder to create the 'main' executable.

Requires base64, QT4, make, gcc, and all that...
