    Frustrated.

Ubuntu is OK but I find Mint easier

Don't give up; a fresh install of Windows can be a real pain also - I do it several times a week for a living.

You might try Linux Mint - Mint includes Flash and mutimedia codecs already installed and it has worked on just about all the hardware I have tried it on. Ubuntu is good also but I keep going back to Mint. Currently using Mint 5 - Elyssa which is a long term support version. The latest is Mint 7.

I read your posts and you are giving up too easy. First do you know how to use terminal? There were a couple of questions left unanswered. If you do not know how to find the answers ask, do not feel embarassed. Do you get any error messages. Yes and you were right we may need to know which equipment you are running. Flash requires a certain amount of video memory.
