I have recently installed Slackware and I have no idea how to deal with it. I am not saying that I am a lazy and I have not read any of the documentation, in fact there is no docmumentation at all!!!
For instance, I've tried to configure my Wireless. I read the Slackbook and there is nothing. I read an Alien's tutorial and nothing of what he says works. Now I can't use my distro because of that in my working place.
Do you know any place in which I can find the documentation for the minor things?
Regards.
Hello marine.fran. I am a Slackware user and have "never" read the slackbook, or much of any other documentation as well. I just don't have the attention span I used to, .
Anyway, knowing the difficulties I had when I first tried getting my wireless up and running, the best thing you can do is ask in the Linux-Hardware forums. Maybe someone will have the same device you have and can help.
The easiest route to go, if it still exists, is ndiswrapper. That might allow you to use the windows drivers to get connected until you can find a linux driver for your device.
