...so, apart from the obvious, what else can this mean for me? Or, better, what info do I read/learn? Or, should'nt I simply update udev apart (before anything else) and do the sysup afterwards...

Edit - solved. Indeed, this COULD be a problem, but not is the update happens in ONE go. Updating Udev beforehand (if so inclined) would be okay, but the system would'nt suffer if not done...
