ugly fonts in gnome?

i installed gnome-base in my arch, but the fonts don't look good, they look small and.. i don't know they just don't look right, i've never had this problem in other distributions as linux mint, slackware (gtk-apps),ubuntu, etc..
i want to know what fonts do i need to install or what is your configuration in Gnome.
by the way.. i've read the wiki but still.. fonts look the same

I've found that installing the Bitsream Vera, DejaVu, and Liberation fonts improves things quite a bit WRT fonts.

Code:
pacman -S ttf-liberation ttf-dejavu ttf-bitstream-vera

Try installing ttf-ubuntu-font-family package in AUR
