ugly fonts in gnome?

i installed gnome-base in my arch, but the fonts don't look good, they look small and.. i don't know they just don't look right, i've never had this problem in other distributions as linux mint, slackware (gtk-apps),ubuntu, etc..
i want to know what fonts do i need to install or what is your configuration in Gnome.
by the way.. i've read the wiki but still.. fonts look the same :(

I've found that installing the Bitsream Vera, DejaVu, and Liberation fonts improves things quite a bit WRT fonts. ;)

Code:

pacman -S ttf-liberation ttf-dejavu ttf-bitstream-vera

Try installing ttf-ubuntu-font-family package in AUR
