questions about sound in arch linux.

Hello,

I have to always turn on the sound after each reboot. I am not sure why this happening. This what i did as root : alsamixer and then save the settings by alsactl store but upon reboot the settings are gone and i have to do alsamixer and alsactl store.

how do i permanently store the sound setting so that after each reboot i don't have to alsamixer & alsactl store?

Why do you do alsamixer ?
Do alsaconf and then alsactl store.
That's what I do and it always works.

"Restore Alsa Mixer settings at Startup

1. Run 'alsactl' once to create '/etc/asound.state'

alsactl store

2. Edit '/etc/rc.conf' and add 'alsa' to the list of daemons to start on bootup
