mkfs.ext3: No medium found


mkfs.ext3: No medium found while trying to determine filesystem size


I keep getting this error everytime i try to format my other drive... not sure whats the problem

Need more.

Think the command is more like:

mkfs.ext3 /dev/****
where **** is sda(Partition Number) or hda(Partition Number)
and don't bracket partition number just hda1 and such... Hope that helps.

Just make sure its the right one .
