Hey! I just installed Arch on my comp (windows crapped out on me ). Anyway, on boot I get a Kernel Panic error. I used the "System" install if that helps! Thx!

There is NO such thing as a P1 300. Pentium line ended at about 200 mhz. PII began at 233mhz. 300mhz are PII's. So the original poster does have a i686 machine(PII) unless he overclocked a P1...
