Internet activity freezes/crashes xorg...

I have installed arch as i686 on my computer:
amd64 athlon 3000+
asrock 939S56-M motherboard
Sapphire Radeon X1600XT (bought today)
1024 mb DDR pc3200 kingston ram
zonet fast ethernet adapter (bought a few days ago)

Now i have spent i minor fortune on newer hardware to get linux to work on my computer, and has come to the point that it actually works. But for some odd reason, everytime an internet/network application has been used for a while or used for complex stuff like j2re and flash, xorg freezes/crashes.

The reason for me to be using an i686 OS on a i939 (amd64) machine is simply, that i don't really se any support for amd64, not for linux and even worse for windows.

I would really like to know what to do with this bug, otherwise i would be forced back to using windows, which i do not really want to, so someone please help me with this matter...

When xorg crashes, are any errors displayed? Does /var/log/x.org.log (or similar) contain any error messages? Which X driver are you using (radeon? ati binary?)
