install archassault

hello guys, it's my first time using arch distribution, and I decide to try install archassault. I install this OS to my virtual machine (vmware) with 12gb disc space. I've made the partition for it:
Code:
/dev/sda1 ext4 10gb
/dev/sda2 swap 2gb
because the disc space is just 12gb, so I decide not to separate the partition for /home and /boot. I want to install all of it to /dev/sda1.
I'm trying following these steps on the page :https://wiki.archassault.org/ISO
Code:
//mount /dev/sda1 to /mnt
# mount /dev/sda1 to /mnt
//create directories /home and /boot
# mkdir /mnt/home
# mkdir /mnt/boot
//then running pacstrap
# pacstrap -i /mnt base
then this error appears:
Code:
error: failed to update multilib (download library error)
..................
ERROR: failed to install packages to new root
btw, I don't have internet connection on the computer I'm trying to install. I've download 4.7gb dvd iso, isn't that mean all of packages are available in the iso?

please, I really apreceate for your help/guide.

thank you so much.

I never used neither ArchAssault nor Arch but seeing this message:
Code:
error: failed to update multilib (download library error)
it seems pretty obvious that you need a connection to some server where is stored some needed stuff. My guess would be that it's to get the most recent stuff at time of installing but I could be wrong. If I am right you do need a network connection. Also IMHO there's no point using this kind of distribution if you are not prepared to download stuff needed to stay bleeding edge anyway.

Additionally if you can't or don't want to devote more space to that system you could avoid wasting 2 GB removing the swap partition.

I don't have a clue also anyway. but with the 4.7gb iso I can run the live os with the full desktop and many applications, so I think everything I need is inside the iso. I'm guessing is there any possible to set the repo/miror to the cdrom or the iso, like when install ubuntu's applications using dvd repo?

The `pacstrap` script used for installing the base system requires an internet connection.

You could try some of these methods:
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php...on_of_packages

I have no experience of ArchAssault so I can't help you directly, sorry.

I am one of the maintainers of this project, let me see if I can answer a few of your questions.

1. You have to have internet access to be able to install eith ArchLinux or ArchAssault.

The packages are installed the iso, sure but not in a way that allows to install them to your hdd in vmware.

2. We disable the internet by default, you will need to enable it and get access to the internet before you can proceed.

This link will certainly help https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php..._configuration
