Gaim and gtalk (jabber) in Arch [SOLVED]

Hi!!
I have installed Gaim and gaim-plugins-pack using pacman in my Arch installation.
I use gaim to chat in both Yahoo and Gtalk. I could set up Yahoo account without any problem, but I can't find the Jabber protocol in the drop-down list when I tried to configure my gmail account!!
In my other distro (Ubuntu), I can set up gtalk using Jabber protocol without any problems , though!!
Any help???

I'm not sure what packages it is you need but if you 'pacman -Ss jabber' it brings up a few packages that may be relevant to your problem.

You may have to pipe it through 'less' as there seems quite a few of them.

hth :)

Well, managed to solve the problem.....just had to install glibc (plus the kernel headers) using pacman.
Now, Jabber is there in the dropdown list of protocols in GAIM.

This thread has helped me : http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=29159

Posting it here for reference! :)
