If you mean on the actual desktop itself, then I should tell you that fluxbox does not have desktop icons by default. That is all part of the "light" window manager experience There are a couple of ways to get around this. You could get adesklets/gdesklets and each has their own respective launch bars or you could get a package called iDesk. I don't know how resource intensive iDesk is but check out this link for some of the aDesklets Desklets. I hope this helps.

It did. Thanks for your help with this.

Im now using adesklets...weaterforecast

Excellent. I really like adesklets. I hope it catchs on and more programmers out there start writing some desklets. I currently run the weatherforecast,mounter and mailer desklets. For your shortcut specific needs there is a launch bar called YAB (Yet Another Bar). Good luck.

Awsome! I just love the YAB launch bar. I was hoping for some more 'very light software' on my desktop, and I got it
