"ERROR: boot device didn't show up after 30 seconds..." During install

[Log in to get rid of this advertisement]
I'm trying to get Arch on my Eee, first time trying to install Arch, I'd like to get more speed and control, more to learn the system than for practical use. But when I try to get the Livecd/usb going on my Eee I get

ERROR: boot device didn't show up after 30 seconds...
Falling back to interactive prompt
You can try to fix the problem manually, log out when you are finished
ramfs$

I've tried to mount my sd card which I think is sda, but I keep getting the usage output (Usage: mount [-r]....)

I tried mount /dev/sda /src but I get the usage, and I've also tried sdb, and -t vfat thrown in there too. So I have no idea what's going on. I'd really like to try Arch, and there's a bit of a sense of pride there too because I'm Canadian to, so I'd really like to get going with it, but I've run into this, I have a tutorial for my exact model too, and it just says "mount /dev/sd[x] /src" which I've tried only to get the usage output. Anyways, all help is greatly appreciated, thanks.

/dev/sda and /dev/sdb are your sata drives and i could be wrong (i dont have any to test with anymore) but i believe ide in arch also goes down as sda now not your SD card. Not sure what SD cards show up as.

Well, my card reader is connected by usb, so would it not show up as usb storage? And from what I was told, usb storage mimicks sata and becomes sdX. But I tried using sdb, and it didn't work, so I'm stuck now.

Check for mmcblk in /dev/, that's what my Arch uses for SD cards.
