e2fsck superblock problem
I had 2 linux distros (Arch and Ubuntu)and Win in my laptop.I wanted to try Free BSD for a change.. I have my grub installed from Arch..I deleted the ubuntu partition and installed FreeBSD on UFS file system. On reboot , I want to enter linux to change the grub menu but to my surprise I am getting the error "e2fsck failed to read superblock . The superblock could be corrupt (unless it is swap or ufs) ...Repair and reboot "
In fact I know that since it is Ufs only the error is reported..How do I prevent fsck from running ..It is dropping me to a root shell but I am not able to edit any of the files... Pl help |
The problem is solved...I removed the corresponding partition reference in /etc/fstab
