Completely removing a package group
 

I just installed arch for the first time on a "new" computer that's only 5 years old. Since this thing is such a powerhouse compared to my old machine I figured I would try going with a desktop environment as opposed to a window manager.

What I'm trying to figure out is how to completely remove the entire de group. Everything I have tried results in dependency conflicts.
