Codec for the media player?
Hi,
Im using noaturn for my mediafiles. I know that I can download a codec (codecs 20050412-2 Non-linux native codec pack. (Win32, Real9, QuickTime) so I can watch divx, xvid and so. Ive had the codec installed once before, and im suspecting it to cause several crashes in KDE. So: Does any of you guys have experiences with this, good or bad? Maybe I just need to change my mediaplayer? Sincerely, Jorgen |
the best place i find is the mplayer site, http://mplayerhq.hu they have multiple generic tarballs of popular win32 codecs.

Thanks acid_kewpie.
I will change to mplayer, and see if things work out better than with Noatun. Sincerely, Jørgen |

You didnt. I know that I can use the tarballs for other mediaplayers, but I assumed that you were using mplayer, and my impression of you, is that you have alot of experience with linux. Therefor I decided to try it out. Sincerely, Jørgen |
