Arch dropped support for older video cards?

I noticed homepage says they removed Nvidia legacy drivers from repositories..does it mean older nvidia users won't be able to normally use arch anymore? Yes i know about alternatives but these drivers fit better and give wider choice of options. Will this affect ATI too?

Probably because Nvidia isn't supporting the oldies any more.
( Geforce 5, FX 5x00 up are supported so far.)

And unsupported means no updates to support the latest kernels.
( And compilers.)

Arch dropped support for the proprietary ATI drivers in 2009.

For both Nvidia and ATI cards, it's just the proprietary drivers that are affected. There's always the open source drivers.
